MATTHEW B. MORRIS joined Wimberly Lawson Wright Daves & Jones in 2022 and works out of the Firm's Knoxville office. The focus of his law practice is workers' compensation defense as well as general liability matters. Prior to joining Wimberly Lawson, Matthew worked at a regional firm focusing on workers' comp and commercial liability defense. Matthew received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics, with a minor in History from the University of Tennessee, and his law degree from the University of Maryland. During law school, Matthew was the managing editor for the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy, was Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, and received the Joseph Bernstein Prize for Writing for his published case note. In addition to his law practice with the Firm Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and their dog, enjoying live music, and watching absolutely any Tennessee Vols sporting event.
