GARY W. WRIGHT was Of Counsel with Wimberly Lawson Wright Daves & Jones PLLC, which he re-joined in 2017. He practiced in the areas of labor law (defense). He served on the Executive Council of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Labor Law Section, and was a past member of the Knoxville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations. Gary was a Tennessee Supreme Court Approved Mediator and received his Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Prior to entering private practice, Gary was a federal prosecutor for the National Labor Relations Board, working in its Peoria and Atlanta Regions. He also served as an instructor of business law at Virginia Tech, and at Carson Newman College. Gary was the Chief of Employment Litigation for the U.S. Forest Service, where he managed and directed in-house attorneys and outside counsel in the defense of all labor and employment lawsuits brought against the Agency. Gary received his BS degree, cum laude, in 1974, and his J.D. degree in 1977, both from the University of Tennessee.
